This connection is what drew Allegra and Howard to Fort Lauderdale. In Howard's prior career in managing sales and real estate development with Intercontinental Hotels and formerly Holiday Inn, he managed the Latin America and Mexico regional franchise business. Allegra's prior career included managing a mental health counseling unit at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.  They both later became leading Realtors for Esslinger * Wooten * Maxwell Realtors in Fort Lauderdale, achieving the status as one of the Top Five Agents of 2004 for EWM.  In 2005, they accepted an opportunity to become partners in one of Keller Williams Realty's newest market centers in West Broward County.  While Howard assists the team in marketing and administration, Allegra continues as the licensed Realtor in charge of the day-to-day activities.
